Ashitaba (Angelica keiskei koidzumi) is a cleansing, nutritious and fiber rich green leafy vegetable, high in antioxidant flavonoids (chalcones) which can reduce the cell damage caused by free radicals and increases blood circulation.
When ashitaba is used in skin products it results in supple, wrinkle free skin. Ashitaba exfoliates the dead skin that causes a dull complexion and/or clogged pores. Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties calm redness and irritation. Ashitaba promotes healing of cuts, scrapes, acne, insect bites and ulcers. Ashitaba prevents infection and protects the skin from sun damage. Great for all types of skin including sensitive and combination skin. Its anti-fungal properties works on athlete's foot and it is great for planters' warts too!
When ashitaba is used in hair and scalp products it moisturizes and lubricates the scalp promoting natural hair growth resulting in shiny, fuller, stronger hair.
